CNN reported earlier this week that Facebook had quietly unveiled what it called a stalking app. The "Find Friends Nearby" app uses a device's GPS capabilities to find Facebook friends nearby who are logged on.
The possibilities for using this app to stalk someone went viral around the Net, and just one day later, Facebook has apparently yanked the application according to BGR.
I'm thinking the FTC made a phone call. :-)
