Endlessly tipping my hat to Dave Ries, he sent me a link to Codemoji, a cool little site that allows you to send emoji cipher messages to your friends with a hint about the decryption key. If you have children interested in such things, I am sure they would enjoy it – and maybe learn something.
Mind you, you don't want to send anything sensitive this way, because this is child's play, not strong encryption. But the child in me played happily and of course sent my first cipher message to – who else? – my constant correspondent, dear friend and co-author, Dave Ries. I'm pretty sure he'll figure out how to decode it. <g>
