The American Bar Association has just published a cyberinsurance primer entitled Protecting Against Cyber Threats: A Lawyer's Guide to Choosing a Cyber-Liability Insurance Policy, available for $19.95 ($15.96 for ABA members) from the ABA's webstore. The 32-page guide is not for sophisticated purchasers, but then again, I haven't see many of those. Very few lawyers I talk to understand cyberinsurance – many actually think they are covered in the event of a data breach when they are not. If you know next to nothing about cyberinsurance, you'll want to read this short, cleanly written guide from the ABA Standing Committee on Lawyers' Professional Liability which lists companies (with contact info) who offer cyberinsurance policies.
Do shop around - prices and coverage vary widely.
